Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Born on 11th November 1966. Doody made her acting debut in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody began modelling after being invited by an experienced photographer. The result was a successful modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not wear glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. When she was spotted by the director of casting for a James Bond movie, she was cast in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was named one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody is only 18 at the time she portrayed Doody in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. Doody is the youngest Bond Girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 film adaptation The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She also appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman and continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody played a role in The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. In 2004, she appeared in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Doody appeared on RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. Almeria film award, tierra de cine as well as an Almeria walk of fame star were presented on the 21st November 2018.
